Top Trends: the loafer or moccasin!

We all know that the male influence is a top trend these days. We also know, that the oxford style shoes are one of the main must haves in our shoe collection, indeed. Now, the loafers come to join the oxfords, and to give our feet, a truly confy preppy london style... adorables!!

Many of the main brands have made their own moccasin. From the classic flat that shows Forever 21 or Miu Miu, to the eclectic high heeled metalic pairs from Alexander wang... there's something for everybody!


Mi little tip: Wear a classic pair of them, with 3/4 socks and a pretty femenine skirt! sooo classy.

Todos sabemos que la influencia masculina es una de las tendencias más top en estos días. Tambien sabemos, que los zapatos estilo Oxford, son unos de los principales must haves de nuestra coleccion de zapatos, desde luego. Ahora, los mocasines vienen a acompañar a los Oxford, y a darle a nuestros pies, un estilo preppy londinense increíblemente cómodo... adorables!!

Muchas de las principales marcas, han creado su propia version del mocasin. Desde el clásico estilo que nos muestran Forever21 o MiuMiu, hasta los más eclecticos, como los que nos trae Alexander Wang, en una version en tacón, con coleres eléctricos y metalicos.

Mi pequeño consejo: Utiliza un par clásico con medias 3/4 y una linda y femenina falda! con mucha clase!

Zuecos! Te atreves??!

ENGLISH. The last time I wear clocs I was probably like 10 years old, and didn't have a clue about what I was wearing. Almost for a decade (or more), this peculiar shoes have been far away from the runways and absent on our closets.

I remember how not more than 2 years ago, I swear with my life that I were not going to use clocs ever again. But yeah, like every other trend, the clocs are back.... and stronger than ever!!!... I seriously confess that it was difficult to me to let them get in to my wardrobe again, but I finally did it, and even got enchanted by more than a pair.

Since the early spring, the prncipal fashion houses had give the clocs a very special place, and even the label MiuMiu dedicated almost an entire collection to this kind of shoes, with a very floral and cute interpretation of them, always with super high heels!

In the case of fall-winter, the interpretation is much more sober. The neutral colors like black and brown are the main characters, and the different aplications a plus.

How to combine them? Mix them with your favorite skinny jeans and a beautiful bluse or tank for a casual look. Put them with a cute tulip skirt or ankle pants for a more formal outfit.

My advice? Bet on the high heel clocs to look super stylish.This kind of shoe has the particularity of bein rounded and wide, so it can make us look a little more small of what we are. This is wy is important to choose a pair with a good high heel.

My choice? The black ones with studs!! they are awesome and they combine with everything!

ESPAÑOL.La última vez que utilice zuecos, podría haber tenido unos 10 años, y no tener ni idea de lo que me estaba poniendo. Casi por una década entera (o más), estos peculiares zapatos estuvieron alejados de las pasarelas, y ausentes en nuestro guardarropa.

Recuerdo como hace no más de dos años juraba y recontra juraba que nunca utilizaría zuecos otra vez. Pero si, como todas las tendencias, los zuecos han vuelto… y ¡¡¡más fuertes que nunca!!!.... Confieso que me tenía mis reservas y, aunque me costo aceptar la idea de verlos de nuevo en mi closet, lo logré, y hasta me encanté por más de un par.

Desde inicios de la primavera, las principales casas de moda se han encargado de darle un lugar especial a este tipo de calzado, e inclusive la marca MiuMiu, le hizo un homenaje dedicándole casi por completo su colección de spring 2010, con diseños muy coloridos y florales, apuntando siempre a las alturas.

En el caso del otoño invierno, podemos ver como los zuecos se han reinterpretado en una versión mucho más sobria. Los colores neutros como el negro y el café son los protagonistas, y las diferentes aplicaciones un plus.

¿Como combinarlos? Prueba llevarlos con tus skinny jeans favoritos y una blusa encantadora para un look casual. Para algo más formal, prueba llevarlos con una hermosa falda tulipán, o un mini vestido; o bien con unos pantalones pitillo (tobilleros).

¿Mi consejo? Apuéstale a los zuecos con tacón alto, para verte súper estilizada. Al ser este tipo de zapato de punta redonda y ancha, suele hacernos ver un poco más chatas. Por eso es importante escoger un par con un buen taconazo.

Mi elección: ¡Los negros de tacón alto y con tachuelas! ¡¡¡Van con todo!!!

Object of Desire: Oxford Shoes! // Objetos del deseo: Zapatos Oxford!

Who says that you have to wear ballerinas or sneakers to feel comfortable!?  One of the most trend styles these seasons is the Oxford or Balmoral; and without a doubt, they’ve become my objects of desire lately!

The Oxford are flat shoes made originally of leather. Even when this style has been more time in the male closet, they’re now a part of the women closet, too.

This style of shoes is a little bit masculine, so I recommend you to wear them with clothes and accessories more feminine, like floral prints, laces and romantic brooches to complement. It doesn’t matter if you choose a suede pair, a nude color pair, the classics black and white, or the original natural leather style; the point is that you find a pair that match the best with your personality and with all your wardrobe, because you’re going to start wearing them always! :)

Quien dice que para andar cómodas solamente existen los zapatos ballerina y las zapatillas deportivas!? Uno de los estilos más elegantes, cómodos, funcionales, y a la vez muy a la moda, son los Oxfords o Balmorales; y sin lugar a duda se han convertido en mi objeto de deseo más reciente!

Los Oxfords son zapatos planos hechos originalmente de cuero. A pesar de haberse visto mucho más en el guardarropa masculino, estas últimas temporadas vienen con fuerza para el armario femenino.

Al ser un modelo algo masculino, te recomiendo complementar tus Balmorales con accesorios y atuendos algo más femeninos como estampados florales, blusas con encajes y prendedores románticos para contrastar. No importa si escoges unos de gamuza, color beige, los clásicos blanco y negro o los tradicionales de cuero natural; lo importante es que encuentres un par que  se acomode mejor a tu personalidad y a todo tu guardarropa, porque no vas a poder dejar de usarlos!  Esta primera edición de "My Closet" es acerca de esos elementos algo viejitos de tu armario que sigues amando como si los acabaras de adquirir! Personalmente tengo varios, pero he escogido dos de ellos para mostrarles!

First I've here my favorite snickers of all the times! my old converse!. I have them since I was like in 8 grade, and you don't know how many times my mom has wanted to throw them in the garbage, but I still in love with them, even when I've buy other sneakers I just can't stop wearing them... Besides that old school look they give is awesome! isn't it?!

Primero que todo mis zapatillas favoritas! mis viejas converse!... Las tengo desde que estaba en octavo grado, y no tienen idea de cuantas veces mi mamá quiso tirarlas, pero es que simplemente sigo enamorada de ellas. Aún cuando he comprado otras deportivas no puedo dejar de usarlas, además ese look old school que te dan es increible!! cierto?!

And last but not less important, this amazing floral scarf!! It is really a vintage item, cuz it has been in my mom's wardrobe for at last 30 years!... I must confess that in my early years I just didn't love it, but now I just can't stop wearing it!.... besides it is so In right now with all the floral trend :D just love it.

Y por último este hermoso pañuelo con estampado floral! Es realmente un accesorio vintage, ha estado en el armario de mi madre por al menos 30 años!... Debo de confesar que siendo una niña no le preste demaciada atención, pero ahora no puedo dejar de usarlo!... además esta super de tendencia con el estampado Floral! :D simplemente lo amo!
